Managers
Practice Manager - Peter Yoxall - Joined the practice in 2004 as IT Manager and and has developed the IT systems within the practice. key areas, have been the ongoing training of all practice staff and the introduction of a new telephone and appointments system. Peter was promoted to Practice Manager in September 2009.
IT Manager - Karen King - Joined the practice in 1999 and was promoted to IT Manager in September 2009.
Chinnor Branch Manager - Julie Simmonds - Joined the practice as an Admin / Receptionist in 1992, trained as a Medical Secretary, and then Branch Manager for Chinnor.
Reception
The practice has two receptions, one at Risborough and the other at Chinnor, both receptions work independently of each other and assist the patients in the local area. The receptionist will be pleased to help with all appointments, messages and enquires, but please help them by giving as much information as possible. This will assist them in processing your enquiry. We are unable to give out any information to family members or friends unless written consent from the patient concerned has been given to the Practice. Please understand that this is a stipulation of the Data Protection Act and is for the protection of our patients.
Medical Secretaries
The practice employs three secretaries who provide assistance to the GPs and their patients. They deal with all referrals, consultants clinics and telephone enquires.
Practice Nurses
Practice nurses at Cross Keys have primary care experience over many years. Cross Keys was one of the first in the country to employ nurses as part of the Primary Health Care Team. The present nursing team has expertise in Asthma, Coronary Heart Disease, Hypertension, Epilepsy, Thyroid disease, Stroke and Diabetes. They run screening programmes for all patients who are at risk. They carry out cervical smear screening, ear syringing, wound dressings, leg ulcer bandaging, phlebotomy, suture removal, contraceptive injections, depot injections, ECG's and many other procedures. They are more than happy to offer advice, when requested, on many aspects of disease prevention and leading a healthier lifestyle. Some nurses can give contraceptive advice. They are also able to access information from other sources if they don’t have the facts straightaway. Our Practice nurses are highly qualified and are updating their knowledge regularly. They work closely with the General Practitioners, District Nurses, Health Visitors, Midwives and Pharmacists to provide a complete service in the Community.
Administrators
The Practice employs a team of back office administrators who deal with the day to day required activities. They manage all DVLA medicals, registrations / changes, scanning and much more.
