Complaints procedure

Should you wish to make a complaint about any aspect of the surgery, please email or telephone the Practice Manager, Peter Yoxall.

Your complaint will be acknowledged verbally or in writing within 3 days and you will receive a verbal (if agreeable) or written response within 21 days.

All administration queries will be dealt with by the Practice Manager and all medical queries by your usual GP or Senior Partner. All complaints are discussed with the Senior Partner.

Patient Experience Service (PALS)

This service is run by the NHS Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire Cluster.

They welcome all compliments, suggestions, concerns and complaints.

You can also register a complaint at NHS England by calling 0300 311 2233.

CCTV

Closed circuit television (CCTV) is installed at the practice premises for the purposes of staff, patient and premises security. Cameras are located at various places on the premises, and images from the cameras are recorded.

The use of CCTV falls within the scope of the Data Protection Act 1998 (the 1998 Act).

 

GP Net Earnings 2017/18

"All GP practices are required to declare the mean earnings (eg average pay) for GPs working to deliver NHS services to patients at each practice.

The average pay for GPs working for six months or more in The Cross Keys Practice in the last financial year was 65,940 before Tax and National Insurance. This is for 5 full time, 5 part time GPs."

The average pay for GPs working for six months or more in The Cross Keys Practice in the last financial year was 53,380 before Tax and National Insurance. This is for 4 full time, 6 part time and 3 locum GPs."

Accountable GP

All patients are allocated a usual GP (accountable GP) when they register with the practice.

Chaperones

You have the right to have a Chaperone present during any examination procedure. Please speak to the doctor or a member of the reception team.

A Chaperone may be a clinical or non-clinical member of staff but should be aware of the procedural aspects of personal examinations or will be advised by the GP on the day.

If a Chaperone is not available, your consultation should be rearranged for a mutually convenient time when a Chaperone can be present.

In some instances the clinician may request a Chaperone to be present.

Interpreters

A face to face interpreter can be arranged by your GP if required.

Patient Confidentiality

Please be aware that we are unable to give out information to anyone other then the patient.

Where appropriate, for patients under 16 we are able to give information to those with parental responsibility living at the same address.

Patients are able to nominate a relative / friend to request information for them, but we must have written permission.
